The weather is beginning to warm up in many parts of the country. It’s a great time to spend more time outdoors practicing your moves. MLS Camps is pleased to share our soccer and child development expertise with the readers of SCF Monthly. In this edition, we've included our third series of FAST activities. Using this study guide, kids can complete soccer activities with help from friends and family members. Check out our ten newest activities:
#1 – Soccer in Common. Sit down with a family member friend. Separately, write down 10 things you love about soccer. Now compare answers and see how many you have in common.
#2 – Equipped to Play. All players are required to wear certain, compulsory equipment to prevent injury to themselves and to others. All players must wear a jersey and shorts, along with cleats and what unnamed item?

#3 – Dress for Success.Which soccer player position wears a slightly different uniform, providing them with extra protection and a distinctive look?

#5 - Game Off! What is the least number of players a team can field at the opening kick-off, before a game is cancelled?

#6 - How Long Ref? In Major League Soccer, each team is allowed how many substitutions per game?

#7 – Out of the Shadows. You’ll need one family member or friend and a ball to play this game. Create a 20 x 20 yard square in your backyard or at a nearby park. Position one player behind the other player in the center of the area. The player at the back has the ball. The player at the front tries to run away from the player in the back. The player in the back has to stay as close to the player in the front as possible. Rotate positions.
#8 – Rules of the Game Trivia. What are the dimensions of a regulation full-size goal?
- 8 yards wide and 2.6 yards tall
- 10 yards wide and 4.6 yards tall
- 6 yards wide and 1.6 yards tall

#9 – Create Your Own Mascot. Draw or paint your very own soccer team mascot.
